Assistant Construction Project Manager Job Description:

 

As an Assistant Construction Project Manager at Aamodt/Plumb, you will work closely with a Project Manager or Principle/Owner and be responsible for the following:

 

  • Assist with subcontractor and vendor pricing.
  • Assist with the permitting process.
  • Ensuring all documents and materials are maintained throughout a project.
  • Tracking project costs, updating project budgets accordingly, and preparing invoices to clients.
  • Helping to create a schedule during project set up and preliminary design.
  • Monitoring the procurement schedule and identifying and resolving lead time challenges during pre-construction.
  • Identifying, tracking, and procuring all necessary materials and ensuring they arrive as needed according to the project schedule.
  • Managing the submittal, selections, and approvals process.
  • Developing and maintaining positive Subcontractor and Vendor relationships through strong communication and following up on requests and answering questions in a timely manner.
  • Assist with overall communication and coordination across the Project Team.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Background or experience in construction and/or design and engineering.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Ability to use personal vehicle is a plus.

Construction Project Manager Job Description:

 

As a Construction Project Manager at Aamodt / Plumb, you will work closely with the Principles/Owners and be responsible for the following:

 

  • Manage Assistant Project Managers effectively and in a way which promotes their professional development and education.
  • Managing the initial estimating and subcontractor pricing process.
  • Manage the permitting process.
  • Effectively execute each project phase including pre-construction, construction, and closeout.
  • Create project schedules that reflect the overall project strategy.
  • Development of procurement schedules and monitoring to ensure materials are ordered accordingly.
  • Ensure client satisfaction though strong communication and selection of the best subcontractors for the job.
  • Maintaining updated project schedules and effectively communicating to the Project Team.
  • Oversee the monitoring and tracking of project costs and budget.
  • Oversee creation of project invoices and budget updates.
  • Developing and maintaining positive Subcontractor and Vendor relationships through strong communication and following up on requests and answering questions in a timely manner.

 

Requirements:

 

  • 3-10 years of experience in construction management and/or design and engineering.
  • Extensive experience maintaining project budgets and schedules.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Ability to use personal vehicle is a plus.
